Intro to Middle School
Prevent summer slide and gear up for middle school!  Challenge yourself this summer and immerse yourself in school culture here at Revere before the school year even starts.   This summer enrichment program is designed to prepare students for the rigors of middle school and alleviate your fear of the unknown.  Students will receive a variety of instruction that is designed to close the gap between what they learned last year and what they’ll learn this upcoming year.  Familiarize yourself with the layout of the school, learn organizational skills, practice opening lockers, make new friends, and so much more.  This is the 3rd year of this program.  Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn everything you need to know about your new school before the first day!!

This is your opportunity to take a first look into the exciting realm of systems of equations, quadratic functions and much, much more.   Ms. Stewart welcomes you to experience lessons and activities that will help you to build a strong foundation on this first step of your upper level mathematics education courses.  What better way to prepare yourself for the mystery of Algebra….?

Ultimate Frisbee

Intro to Animation & Video Game Basics

Prerequisite: INTRO TO CODING or equivalent experience please contact rbrous@smarterkidscode.com to discuss. Use your previous coding experience to discover how Animation really works in code and how this
concept is used to make video games. This class focuses on the fundamentals of 2d computer graphics & animation, finishing with the creation of a simple game. Computer Animation is enabled by the Middle School Level Math Concepts of ordered pairs (x,y) and graphing on a 2 dimensional plane. The instructor, Richard Brous, has a CS degree from LMU and is an Animation (DreamWorks) and Video Game (Electronic Arts) professional.

For serious learners - with class twice a week, it is critical that your child attend each one and avoid coming late or leaving early. Attendance data is shared with the PEP office, who may contact parent/guardian to discuss chronic tardy or lateness.

2D Video Game Creation

Find out why so many people are doing yoga. Revere’s very own Ms. Esparza will help guide students to develop their body, mind, and spirit. The continued practice of yoga has been proven to lead to a sense of peace and well-being, and also a feeling of being at one with the environment. Participants will have fun gently stretching muscles and joints and bending and balancing in ways never thought humanly possible. You will feel like a new person after this class!

You will never believe what you will learn from this class. Taught by Revere’s very talented Ms. Monica, students will learn how to create AMAZING, festive decorations, flowers, and just about anything out of paper. Students will be able to transform paper into UNBELIEVABLE creations and decorate for any holiday. Don’t miss out !!!

 
Reminder
In order to ensure the safety of all students... please pick up students in the PE area.  Please drive up the west driveway and park near the gym, in the bus area (by the transportation office).  After child is picked up, please proceed up the west driveway to Sunset Blvd.

 
Schedule/instructor subject to change.
Enrollment is on a first come- first serve basis. Register your child early to guarantee a space.

Costs include a $25 non-refundable registration fee.  All requests for refunds must be submitted prior to the start of the second week of the session.
 
Student Eligibility Requirements:
1) Good citizenship and behavior are expected at all times, especially when dealing with coaches, instructors, and volunteers.  Poor citizenship/sportsmanship displayed by student and/or parent/guardian will result in student suspension/removal from the P.E.P. program without refund.
2) Students must maintain satisfactory academic marks (min. 2.0 gpa), work habits and cooperation to participate.
3) PEP has the right to remove students at any time due to safety concerns or behavior issues.
4) Completed forms (registration, financial aid) and payment must be received before student can participate.
5) Participants must show up to practices and classes regularly and on time.
6) All Financial Aid requests must be submitted prior to the first day of the session. Due to budgetary planning, all Financial Aid requests turned in on or after the first day of the session will not be accepted or processed.
7) All requests for refunds must be submitted prior to the start of the second week of the session.
8) Outdoor activities will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
9) There are no make up days for missed classes/activities.
10) Enrollment is on a first come- first serve basis. Register your child early to guarantee a space.
